Building a Welcoming Dubuque

Advocate for DACA Recipients

DACA recipients contribute to our communities as healthcare workers, educators and other essential workers. According to the American Medical Association, an estimated 27,000 healthcare workers and support staff depend on DACA for authorization to work in the United States. They came to the United States as children and are part of our community—as neighbors, coworkers, parents and friends. The Lantern Center supports dignity, stability and a pathway to permanent legal status for DACA recipients and their families.  Visit Home Is Here to learn more and explore ways to support these efforts.
