Lighting the Lantern was a sold-out celebration for the second year in a row, filling the room with energy, generosity and community spirit on March 19, 2026. Guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening featuring live entertainment by David Resnick and a silent auction in support of the Lantern Center’s new Creative Expressions program (thanks to the generosity of Chris Chapin-Tilton). The Presentation Lantern Center offers hospitality, education and advocacy to adult immigrants who are striving to better their lives.
Founded by the Sisters of the Presentation in 2002, the Center has served over 2,500 refugees and immigrants, including hundreds of children from over 85 countries. We provide one-on-one English language tutoring, citizenship test preparation and support services.
